Sometime, it is useful to have repetition of scene in the story, which will enforce the reader to remember the past scene. As in "The Nose", the barber is used to shave the Assessor Kovalev (mention in Chap. 1), and the barber shave Kovalev in chapter 3, where the attitude of the barber and Kovalev has change, after the incident. Any story should be happen in chorological order, if the story jumps back and fourth the time, readers will probably be confused. .
