The article I was assigned to read stated that we have elected a president and that we were waiting to see if we had elected a leader. The article was very informative in telling with detail what it takes to be a leader. Many points were made as to the importance of a leader. The references that were made of leaders in the past were helpful. The article is broke down into many different ways to identify a leader.
             I found the article to have a lot of information and it seemed to have been well thought out. I appreciated the references that were made about the former presidents that were leaders as well. By referring to past leaders I was able to visualize them and understand the points made in the article. When I first read this article I had never given much thought to what it takes to be a leader. I began to see, after reading the article, what had made some of the people that I know leaders in high school, like the leaders I followed on the football team. The statements in the article made a lot of sense to me, which made it easy to read. In one paragraph the article states that a leader should know how to use the power they are given, which is very true and in my mind should be an outstanding quality to look for when choosing a leader. I also agree with the statement that said " a leader presents itself, they rise to the occasion."
             This article in my eyes was very well thought out and researched before being written. A lot of time was taken to prepare this article. In the future when I am helping to choose a leader I will refer back to this article and look for the qualities outlined in it.
