The Webster's Dictionary states that being human is, "Any man or woman
             or child of the species of Homo sapiens." But being human to me is a great
             To be human means I show and give the qualities of one to my fellowman.
             It's more than just being alive and living, it means that we are all
             compassionate, caring people. I have the ability to choose right from wrong
             and to rationalize. I have a life to lead, and each day I recognize my full
             potential. As a human, I am able to recognize that there is a beginning and
             I consider myself to be a trustworthy person, if a friend asked me to keep
             I aim to be positive in most situations, especially if something bad has
             happened or if someone is feeling anxious or depressed. For example, a
             death has occurred, or someone has gotten a bad mark in school. I hope and
             try to offer moral support to assist and make them feel better.
             I am still young, and I hope to expand and develop these and new traits as
             A couple experiences have influenced and helped make myself the person
             I am today. One of them is seeing what tragically happened on September
             11th, 2001. I realize that the people who died for their beliefs only did this
             because of what they were being taught and what the believed.
