Kindergarden through the 12th grade Ernest Hemingway did his studies in at the Oak Park Education system. In Highschool he played many sports, but never excelled in any one particular one. Ernest Hemingway also wrote for the High School newspaper. After graduating he tried to enlist, but was denied because of poor vision. Ernest Hemingway was then offered an ambulance drivers job latter and he took it. Ernest Hemingway did this against his parent's will, they wanted him to go to college (Wilson).
In the late 1917, Ernest decided to Skip College and write for a Newspaper. His Uncle Tyler knew some people and got him a job at the Kansas City Star. Ernest Hemingway was a rugged type of dresser he would come into work with old hunting dress, and because of that he was looked down apon. He had a reason to dress like that most of his assignments were outside the office (Wilson).
After a couple of months after enlisting he was sent to War, WWI, where he drove an ambulance for the army. He did this because he had too poor of vision to fight in the field. He was wounded while he was carrying an Italian solider to safety and spent many months in the hospital (lane).
After being wounded in Fossalta, he went to Milan to recuperate after being shot. During the months that Ernest Hemingway was recuperating he fell in to love with the beautiful Agnes Von Kurowsky (Donaldson). After Ernest Hemingway returned back from War Agnes and him wrote each other for months back and forth. Then she broke it off and he was crushed and very bitter (Desnoyers). She rejected him because he was too young for her (Donaldson).
When Ernest Hemingway returned from War he was known he everbody as a hero. He told anybody and everybody his stories if they had an open ear. Becoming a hero meant that he was admired by all of the young ladies (Desnoyers).
