Madame Bovary is a sinner and a fool because of her actions
throught the book. She lived in a fantisy and hoped it would come
true. I think that she was very determened to get what she wanted
and would try diffrent things to live in her own little world. This
Emma did anything and absolutly everything to get what she
wanted I thought she was very resourseful in figureing out how to
live her fantasys. For example, Emma went through two or three
diffrent fantays like the one where dhe wanted to be rich. So what
did she do? she had a affair with Rodolphe. Rodolphe was rich,
educuated,charming,good looking and knew the ways of escentric
life. Emma felt like she was better than the rest of the people when
she was with him he took her fancy places and wore the best clothing
and the horse back ride well..... lets just say the horses wernt the only
ones who were ridden that day. Poor Charles didn't see that Emma
was cheating on him and I think this really excited Emma and made
Emma also had another affair with Leon. He was her phase
when she was into the young guy and the you know, "experenced"
woman. We found out about him in the conversation between the
two. He said he loved german opera because it was the kind that
made you dream which excited Emma because she too was a
"dreamer". He also said that he was going to paris to study law
and Emma fell head over heels in lust oh wait I ment "love" with
him. I think all she really saw in Leon is potential and he seemed
like he was on the right track but she was just going to use him
These two affairs are what make her a sinner. she used people
to build her self esteam but ended up not only physcaly and
emotionaly hurting herself but others in the prosses. I think
shes a fool because she let herself get traped finanicaly and
