             Almost forty percent of the offenders are over the age of thirty. Sixty percent of the time, the offender is white. About eighty-four percent of the offenders are male. The offender is usually the same race as the victim. Most often, white male offenders attack white male victims and black male offenders attack black male victims. Another fact is that 32.3 percent of the offenders were perceived to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or both. However, the victims did not know whether or not the offender was under the influence in forty-six percent of the cases. Lastly, out of 434,950 multiple offender victimizations, 74.3 percent involved all males, 38.4 percent involved all whites and 42.5 percent of the offenders were between the ages of twelve and twenty years old. In about ninety percent of incidences, the offender had only one victim.
             The victim-offender relationship is broken down to two parts, strangers and non-strangers. From there, the categories will be broke down further. First, 51.6 percent of 1,457,800 incidences of aggravated assault were between two strangers. Of the men that were involved, 59.2 percent were never married and 46.6 percent of the women involved were married. Also, aggravated assaults between strangers usually had one offender, about sixty-three percent. Almost thirty percent involved two or more offenders. Overall, most people involved in victimizations between strangers that were married, at the percentage of 58.3.
