             artists like Sam Cooke, Jackie Wilson, the Impressions, Little Richard, and the Isley
             Brothers (Frick 42). In fact he made his studio debut with the Isley's in 1964 on their
             single "Testify." Hendrix's impressive rhythm guitar and lead flourishes showed
             evidence of an already unique style. Ernie Isley recalls hearing his method come about
             as Hendrix practiced in the house during the months he lived with them:
