It was a dream come true. After renting apartment after apartment and cleaning everyone's mess each time, Laura and Michael finally bought their first house. While searching in a quiet neighborhood, they found a perfect little house. They had saved enough money to buy a small cottage.
             Laura and Michael were married with no children. When they moved, Michael was very busy at work and did not have a lot of free time to help his wife around the house. On the other hand, Laura was an author and her home was her office. She was the one who had to clean and paint the house. All that was left was the attic. Laura was amazed that the former owners had left so many things behind. She sorted out things that needed to be thrown away and things that might have a certain value. She found this beautiful family portrait and decided to keep it in her office.
             Laura and Michael were very happy with their beautiful new house. Every day, Michael was anxious to come home. Suddenly, one afternoon, Michael found Laura sitting on the porch looking strange. He asked her what was wrong and she could not answer. A couple of days later, Michael came home and couldn't find Laura. He searched the house, calling her name and he finally found her in the attic. Again, he questioned her and she still couldn't answer.
             This strange change in her personality worried Michael. He found that as time went by, Laura was acting very weird. He decided to take her to a doctor who recommended that Laura be hospitalized for some tests.
             After a few days, the doctor told Michael that Laura was fine and that she suffered from temporary memory loss. Laura and Michael left the hospital knowing that there wasn't much that they could do. The next day, Michael returned to work with the intention of keeping a close eye on Laura and calling her often throughout the day. He just couldn't wait for the day to end. Wh
