Mr. Jackie Lynn McDonald (Mac) was born in Merkel, Texas on September 18th 1934. His memories from his early years are that his mom was soul supporter of him until he was fifteen years, farming, drinking, chasing pretty girls, and dreaming of traveling.
Mac loved working on the farms, but always dreamed of being a city boy with traveling experience. His mom was divorced and remarried. He never knew his father until he was dying and reunited with him before hand at his fathers request. Mac worked hard tending to crops and animals on the farm and says it is in his blood. He regrets not staying in Texas and taking over the farm for his mother. His mother is eighty-six and still runs three farms. He goes four times a year to visit for three weeks to help her.
He has traveled to Europe, Mexico, the Bahamas, South America, within the U.S. and to the Keys. He will always cherish traveling adventures. He devoted most of his working life to car sales. He would earn the perks which were trips to somewhere. He loved it. He started doing car sales after his first and only wife divorced him. He had affairs and so did she. He says they were both immature and weren't ready to work at marriage. He says you marry once and that's it. He is lonely now at seventy, because he lives alone, has complicated medical conditions, and no longer has a girlfriend or companion.
His greatest accomplishment is that he set goals in his business, reached them made real good money and traveled all over. Having his daughter was another major accomplishment. His daughters birth is a treasured memory, because he couldn't live with his daughter he is proud that he always lived within twenty minutes of her and had her every other weekend. He believes divorce hurts everyone. His mother was divorced, he divorced, and his daughter refuses to accept divorce as an option. He is proud of her for breaking the chain, but realizes the eff...
