The United states has been through many significant eras, and ages that are very

recognized for their contribution to American history. In the past few decades, the

country has been through probably the most important time. There has been so much

accomplished in the past couple of decades, and years, yet one might even pass them by,

not realizing what importance it has today. The Eighties is a very well known time period

for its political status, economical state, and especially the social, and public movements,

and affairs. The year of 1983 has had some incredible events happen that have changed

history, and has a huge effect today. From the presidency of Ronald Reagan, to the attacks

the country had faced, 1983 was full of amazing modification. Everything that has

happened, reflects onto the country's state today. History has its flaws, and upbringings.

However, those are what get us from one era to another, and one decade to the next.

America has been learning from the past , and 1983 certainly had its significance, and its

way in teaching Americans today in how much change has been rendered. Without the

events that have happened in 1983, America would never be the same. It was an

extraordinary year in politics, economics, and affairs between the foreigners.

The year of 1983 was a consequential year in American history. Every country

needs a political leader in hand. The president of the U.S. in 1983 was Ronald Reagan.

He served two terms in the U.S. office. His terms were from 1981-1989. Ronald Reagan

won the Presidential nomination in 1980. He got into office on January 20,1981. He was

a republican! As many wanted to have a democratic president, Reagan faced many

challenges during his presidency, all because he was a republican. Just as president

Franklin Roosevelt, Reagan faced his opponents. The opponents were the democrats.
