Old glory means everything to me. It means freedom, the right of privacy, and to be equal.
When I look at the United States flag I remember the coloines of soldiers fighting against the British. When this thought of having freedom comes to me I'm so overjoyed to know I can drink a soda-pop when ever and where ever I want to without all the hussle and bussle patriots had to put up with.
The right of privacy. Ohhh! How glad I am to have my privacy. To be able to close doors and lock them. If I didn't have my privacy I'd go nuts. I wonder sometimes what if the British won against the American patriots in war. Then there would be no privacy. How would that have worked out? Not very well, I would say. All I can say is I'm so thankful for privacy.
When I look at Old Glory flying high I think of how being equal has helped the USA. I'm glad racism had stopped for GOOD. There is no difference in white or black people but their color. God put us on Earth the way we are and he saw that it was good.
Imagine if we didn't have the flag to remind us of all the wonderful things we have. What would we think, be, or act like?
