             Media has changed in many ways as the years go by. The type of media that is being consumed and the speed of information passed around has a major impact on society. In a 24 hour period people take in a lot of media, whether they are aware of it or not. Television, new papers, magazines, and the internet are all ways people get information. In a 24 hour period my consumption of media in usually not to much but, due to the national tragedy that has accrued my media intake has risen.
             On the night of September 10th I decided that I was going to start taking note on my 24 hours of media consumption from when I wake up the next morning. Well, for the first 15 minutes after I got up it was a normal morning in my dorm, my roommates were laying in bed watching sports center and I pretended like I was interested. Then the phone rang and it was for one of my roommates, I handed him the phone and went back to laying in my bed. While I was trying to fall back asleep I heard him ask my other roommate if he could put CNN on. I thought to myself "What is going on, they never turn off sports center." So I decided to look up and see what they were putting on. I saw the Twin towers burning down. From that moment on I was watching or reading some kind of media for the rest of the day.
             I sat in my bed for several hours watching CNN. Television is a very common way for me to get my information, but when I went to lunch I realized I get information without even realizing. By sitting in the Glen dinning center everyday, I receive even more media. I just haven't been aware of it till yesterday. They were playing National Public Radio, and I believe they do everyday.
             Usually after dinner I would come home and take a nap, but I decided to go back to the television and see if anymore information was given out. I watched it for about and hour, but then I felt that I need a little break from it all. It was pretty ...
