The palm tree is the scent, feel and sight of the tropics. Its beauty is captivating as it sways in the breeze. This beauty is captured in very few places; fortunately we live in one of these providential places, South Florida. Especially here in Miami, palm trees paint the horizon and are typical landscape feature items. The most special thing about the palm tree is not only its tropical fruit but also its unique leaves. The palm tree leaf is green, fanlike and wispy at its ends. When compared to just about any other kind of leaf, for example the ever-popular Floridian orange tree leaf, some similarities might be seen but for the most part the palm tree leaf is one of a kind in its nature.
             If you were to compare the palm tree leaf to something as simplistic as the orange tree leaf you would find that they are both green, both found in more than one pair and also that they provide a lot of oxygen for our environment. Both the palm tree leaf and the orange tree leaf are the same in coloring. They are both green because of their botanic components. The chlorophyll and chloroplasts that they both biologically contain are what make them similar in their colorful nature. Their similarities also include their warm habitat and their contribution to our environment. When observing the trees of these leaves, you will find that they both grow in warm or tropical climate. These leaves don't only have comparable appearances but also are alike with their great role in the production of Oxygen and the reduction of carbon dioxide in our air.
