Whether people watch the news on MSNBC, CNN or NBC, in most cases they will come across the same information. Broadcasting channels like the ones I named above usually use the same sources to deliver information to their viewers. I am trying to suggest that getting a view from different perspectives can be very helpful when making a decision and it also helps you broaden your knowledge about a particular subject.
             US broadcasting channels are corporate who have the urge of wanting to become bigger and better by selling the most appealing and attention-grabbing news information. Diverse or not, the main role is for it to turn out profitable. The big news stations in the United States are businesses whose preference isn't to deliver you with the most helpful and diverse information but rather to make headlines and most of all, profit.
             Getting a perspective from different information sources is essential when making a decision on a case because you get a sense of what other people might think about something. Furthermore, some information sources help you find out about the past history of certain happenings, which enables you to make a "democratically correct" decision. For instance, when the bombing in New York City happened, many people were in such anger that most of them agreed to attack Afghanistan immediately. Making a firsthand decision could be crucial, not only for Afghanistan but also for America because you do not know how they might react to Americas attack on their soil. Through diverse news sources, civilians and people working for the government found out that many of the Talibans were living around globe and that an attack might have an affect on everybody.
