We live in a country that uses the death penalty, of someone when they kill someone. It should not be abolished so that the killers can be let out of prison to go on a killing spree. If it is to be abolished this will also worsen the problem of over populated correction facilities. People that are for sure guilty should not be given the ability to have multiple appeals and wasting money. It has been said that god and the bible also support the death penalty.
             Of all the complaints of the death penalty, the execution of the innocent is the biggest. Of the many that are dubbed "innocent" over 80% percent have shown no evidence to support their innocents. Of all those that are supposedly "innocent" it only equals about .14% of all the people executed. This shows that it is very rare of the innocent to be executed. Many people claim that the death penalty costs more than life imprisonment, but they are incorrect. The initial costs of death penalty ceases do cost more the life imprisonment cases. The criminals the get life with out parole are sentenced to higher security area of prison and that ends up costing money. The costs to hold a convict for 50 years with life without parole are approximately 60% more expensive than holding a death row inmate for 6 years. If the amount of appeals are limited that will less the costs of death row sentencing.
             The death penalty is also in place to prevent people form killing others. There have been thousands of cases were people were going to kill, but the thought of execution changed their minds. Granted there are those murders that are committed in the "heat of passion", like during a fight when the person isn't thinking of the consequences. Even though the death penalty takes lives the threat of it to most people scares them into not committing a murder, which shows that it works.
