The HIV and alcohol fair was a very important and informative event. It combined important questions, fun games and good prizes to create a knowledgeable environment. When I first heard that we would be going to an HIV and alcohol fair, I thought it would be like all the other ones I have been to my whole school career. I thought there would be a person giving a lecture on what not to do and the teachers would be handing out sheets of information.
             I was however, not like all the fair, lectures or events from the past. This fair combined four very fun games which even had me captivated throughout the experience. I was one of the first ones into the galaxy room and picked up some brochures and went over to the Cupids Arrow game. Here I was asked to answer questions over Sexually transmitted diseases in order to be able to throw the darts in front of me onto a board of targets. I was not at the top of my game unfortunately and I wasn't able to answer all three questions before someone else was. I was disappointed but moved on to the sex tac toe game where I watch a guy and girl duel it out for two condoms. I watched as the girl eventually one by answering some very tough questions. The object of this game was to answer questions right from categories on the tic tac toe board to claim that square. There were nine boxes which were, HIV and aids, alcohol, other drugs, body parts, he said she said, action, dear Dr. Love, contraceptives and STD's. I then went over to the third game which was poker and watch two guys play the dealer and compete. I am not much of a poker ace so I was not able to see who the clear winner was and eventually I left to see the last game, Wheel of Choices. This game drew the largest crowds and I was quickly drawn into the action. It was the game, wheel of fortune but with words of Drug use or Sexual content.
