Success is something that changes from one person to the other. Each persons definition of success is different depending on the situation. I think that It is good for us to know our limitation so we can strive to better ourselves. If we set our expectations too low or too high we are not doing ourselves any good. We must be honest with ourselves. Is this essay I will talk about how our views of success can be changed depending on our upbringing, what our friends and those around us decide as success, and our previous experience in that area.
             It's quite obvious that our views or success can change depending on who we are and whose views and morals were placed upon us. Our parents can have the largest affect on their offspring's definition of success. They are the ones that will either make it clear that he/she must work as hard as possible to get good grades (school for example). Having this put on him/her all the time when he/she grows up it's very likely that he/she will place those same values on her offspring. It can also work the other way, where the parents don't care how their child does in school so he/she doesn't put an effort in. It's likely as well that he/she will raise their children to be the same way.
             Our friends can also have a big impact on our views of success, when we are surrounded by friends who have different values than us. Some people can for worse and some for better. This may be the reason that there are private schools. It's true that some people are smarter than others but the majority of the time it just depends on the students work habits. Most schools are a better representation of the students effort rather than his intelligence. The parents of the children feel that if they surround their child with people who study more and put a bigger effort in that their child may begin to take on some of these qualities.
