Machiavelli believed that because of his educational and employment background he was best qualified to counsel a ruler. The concluding paragraph of Machiavelli's letter to Medici clearly conveys his desperate attempt to gain his favor. Machiavelli nearly begs Medici to remember him if he finds anything of use in this treatise.
             As one reads through The Prince it becomes evident that there is a logic to his style of writing.
