Zeena.
             Zeena is described as an unattractive woman. The narrator says, "Under her shapeless dress her
             body kept its limp immobility, and her dark eyes had the bright witch-like stare . . . " (125).
             Through the author's use of detail the reader is able to see that Ethan's grey-haired wife is
             unpleasant to the eye. The narrator describes Zeena as lonely, "His wife looked so hard and
