the crowd is in desperate need for a change and associates with the speaker and his concepts. The crowd becomes interested and involved in the topic and so, the overall public opinion has changed. Psychologically, a panicked audience is more easily influenced; which is why turnovers like these occur only in times of distress for a nation, or whenever a threat is near. The more recent propaganda, however, uses different channels of the mass media. These include face-to-face communication, employed in rallies, lectures, etc., and audio-visual media, such as television or videotapes. The more basic methods of dissemination are audio media (radio, loudspeakers) and visual media (newspapers, cartoons). Nevertheless, at the beginning of the century, newspapers were used intensively for the development of communism and Nazism.
             On October 25th 1917, Russia went through a revolution that changed not only the country's system of government, but also the entire history of the world to the present. This internal upheaval was mainly the people's revolt against the extremely inconsistent Romanov dynasty. Russia becoming weaker paved a smooth way for the future leader, Vladimir Ilich Lenin. He brought the nation the Marxist concepts that he studied in Germany. Since all the people were frustrated and craved a major change, they happily adopted Lenin's communist theories.
             The first red communist flag had a hammer and a sickle on it. This showed the strong partnership between peasants and industrial workers. The Russian propaganda machine worked impeccably for over two hundred million people, and one sixth of the planet. Lenin, the new leader, imposed the communist concepts by force within only ten years. The citizens' private properties have been completely destroyed.
