Hoops

             The story is about a guy called Lonnie and is set in Harlem in New York. Lonnie has just finished school and now he' s able to spend his whole time on playing his most favourite sport... Basketball. His biggest dream is, to play basketball in the NBA and to earn a lot of money and to become very popular.
             After one of his friends established a basketball team, Lonnie, of course, joins it. But after he is told the name of the trainer he' s very demotivated, because Cal is known as a wino. At first he absolutely declines Cal, but after Cal talked with Lonnie about his past and after the first trainings lessons, Lonnie accepts him. But in Lonnie, Cal sees the young boy, he once used to be. So he tries to support Lonnie and to advance his skills.
             The team writes in a big tournament. They win some games and the final play is coming closer. Meanwhile the organizer of the tournament tries to convince Lonnie' s team, that it would be better, if Cal, because of his past, wouldn't be the coach of the team. But there is no chance to convince them, because Lonnie likes Cal, because of the support for them, too much.
             After the first tournament game starts, Cal beats up some gamblers, who asked him to manipulate the games again*. So he becomes arrested and Lonnie' s team has to fight alone. Anyway the are able to get to final tournament. The game is full of fouls, Lonnie plays the game of his life and his team wins the 'fight' in the last seconds. While they are playing, Tyrone and his muscles beat up Cal. In the dramatic ending, Lonnie gets to the dieing Cal and finally he dies in Lonnie's arms...
