             1. My reaction to Finny's death was very appalling and astonishing. I would have never expected Finny to die mainly because I saw him as a main character and I thought that by making Finny die they ended the story at that specific point. I now think that this was a very appropriate ending to the story and that it gave Gene a new meaning of life and how fragile it really is.
             2. Gene and Finny really do have two different meanings of life. Gene has a more sensual and normal feeling towards things. On the other hand Finny has a much more off the wall look at things and takes life like it is going to end at any moment. I seem to be more like Gene because I don't view life as if I am going to die tomorrow; I see it as a long winding road.
             3. I think the character that changes most over the story is Phineas. He seems to change mentally and learn how to value life more and not be so spontainious. After he brakes his leg for the first time he realizes that he is just as fragile as anyone else and cannot go on doing what he is doing. I think that he learns that he also may harm others physically like himself in certain instances like the "Super Suicide Club."
             4. In the quote "The more things stay the same, the more they change" to me means that if you have the same thing for a long time it will change due to the way you change and the surroundings of it. I do agree with this philosophy because it seems very realivent to our society. If you see how some old laws in the constitution now seem out of date and old fashioned. It's the same way with anything else that old. It relates to the story well because, the more Finny stays the same the more he changes. As you progress through the story and you see how Finny's attitude is not changing you see him getting hurt and slowly going downhill.
