The New Deal was designed for the government to work for the people rather than, the people work for the government. The New Deal was designed to guarantee minimum living standards, and prevent future economic crises. The National Recovery Administration (NRA) was a product of the early new deal and also its corner stone. It was created in 1933 under the terms of the National Industrial Recovery Act. Businesses that complied with this new program were given the right to organize unions and bargain collectively.
