The Koran is a religious book not unlike the bible. Although it is similar to the bible it preaches a few different thoughts than the Christian bible. For one the bible preaches that Jesus was the son of god, while the Koran preaches that Jesus was one of gods many disciples. Another difference between the Koran and the bible is that in the Koran it says that Muhammad was the last person to speak to god, while in the bible it preaches nothing about Muhammad. In the bible it preaches that god will come back to earth for a "Judgment day", while the Islamic religion preaches that god will not make another appearance on earth. While the Koran may seem like a very difficult reading, which it is, yet in a very simplistic way it can be summed up in what the Koran tells you to do and what the Koran tells you not to do.
             The Koran tells the believers of Islam to do many things, from keeping the faith, to not doubting god and to try and convert no believers to believe. One of the very first things the Koran preaches is "be righteous, believe in the unseen and pray. This a very important teaching of the Koran because in order to believe in a higher being that is unseen you must be able to hold your faith and never give up. Another early teaching in the Koran is to "believe in what has been shown to you." This means that when you go to church or read the Koran you must undoubtedly believe everything you see and hear from other people of Islamic faith. You "must have faith in the life to come" is another teaching of the Koran. You must have faith in the next life because in order to be a person of good Islamic faith you must live a life of total submission and excellence in order to get the next better life.
