y false, stories about him. This story I found especially interesting because of the obscurity of the text. By obscurity I mean, who writes about a jumping frog? As I later read on I found I couldn't put the book down, the writing was just too fun to read. I couldn't believe I was enjoying this non-fiction. The next story I read was "The £1,000,000 Bank Note. This story was about a newly poor American pauper in London who, because of his personality traits, was chosen to be the recipient of a large sum of money. This pauper was given a £1,000,000 bank note to settle a bet between two old, rich men. They bet that a pauper could not survive on the streets with a bank note so large as that. When the American pauper does succeed he unwittingly falls in love with one of the rich men's stepdaughter and is granted her hand in marriage. I really enjoyed reading this story because there was always an overhanging sense of irony to the piece. I knew something big was going to happen and change the story dramatically, the only question was when and what. That question really kept me reading the entire story. The next story I read was "The Diary of Adam and Eve." Reading the title revealed the story plain as day. This short story is the day-by-day account of Adam, then Eve.
