             After the alliance with France, Edward reveals that he has secretly married a woman that is not of royal blood, and this infuriates his chief general, Warwick. Warwick then makes a separate alliance with France and after a few small battles, defeats Edward and takes over control of England (Lace 51). Edward is then released so Warwick can gain the support of the nobles. This is a big mistake because Edward quickly builds up another army and defeats Warwick, who flees to France.
