What I admire most and find touching is the self-respect, faith and persistence showed in Jane's love to Mr. Rochester. Jane may choose to be Mr. Rochester's mistress, but she does not. What counts most in life for a woman? Not money, not fame and not even love. Jane chooses self-respect and independence. She values love highly on basis of honesty and self-respect. Jane longs for true love, but she does not thus lose herself in it. To Jane, love is not blind. To be a mistress is to be a slave of love. Compared with her deep love to Rochester, she cherishes self-esteem and independent integrity even more. Self-respect and independence is the spring from which flow her courage, confidence and power. Without these two qualities love can not exist or last.
             If, say, Jane's self-respect touched my heart at first, then it is her unswerving faith and persistence in her love that moved me to tears later. It is easy to fall in love with someone, but it is hard to keep faithful especially after separation. Jane Eyre has left her lover with a broken heart. Though her dream to live with Rochester is shattered, but her love to him knows no end. She is confused for a while with St.John's love but is finally able to make a wise decision. Many people have doubts on the call from Rochester while I think that call is from Jane's love to Rochester. Her constrained love burst out in the form of a mysterious power at the critical moment. Only true love enables her feel the need from her lover and only her faithful love can make her return to Rochester determinedly. She has left him when he is in possession of everything but returns to him when he has lost everything, which embodies her true love with great faith and persistence.
