Gatsby is the main character that falls in love Daisy even though she got married with his friend. He knew that daisy was like out ward more than in ward, but he still love her. Just like what he said, " its theme is the unending quest of the romantic dream, which is forever betrayed in fact and yet redeemed in men's minds". Sometimes, people just like to live in their own world and think all the fantasy things. Just like what is Gatsby did.
When Gatsby back from the war, he found out Daisy didn't wait for him and married to his friend Tom. He realized that daisy like money more than others, and then he tried to make a lot of money to press her. He made it. " I hope she will be fool, that's the best thing a girl can be in this world, a beautiful little fool.... You see, I think everything's terrible anyhow.... And I know, I've been everywhere and seen everything and done everything." (Chapter 1, pg17-18) from that we could see he knew that how daisy she is. And he knew she might not be the girl that he looked for, but he still love her. That's hard thing for him. When Gatsby became rich, he bought the house, which it was close to daisy's house. He thought " a single green light, minute and faraway, that might have been the end of a dock." (Chapter 1 pg22) that green light represents the daisy's house, and he just looks them everyday and think of daisy everyday. We could see through from him that he loved her a lot.
Sometimes Gatsby was more proud of himself to have daisy's press. When he went to the party, he think that " I believe that on the first night I went to Gatsby's house I was one of the few guests who had actually been invited.
