imself. The next character, Estelle is the least authentic character of all three. Throughout the book, Estelle is the most hesitant to reveal her crime and lacks existentionalist persona the most. However, Inez can be portrayed as having the most existentionalist behavior as she is a truth seeker and regrets nothing. All three characters realize they are in the same room to make themselves miserable.
             Garcin was a pacifist journalist. He tried to reside from war and aggression, but his death came when he was shot by a firing squad as he attempted to escape a battle. Garcin demonstrated traits of an intellectual, however he tortured his wife repeatedly and was condemned to hell. Garcin readily admits to torturing his wife once in hell, which proves he is honest and somewhat an existentionalist. However, Garcin needs reassurance and comfort as proved in No Exit. Garcin is terrified of being termed a coward and someone who runs away like a child. He needs one person to have "faith in me (Sartre 39)" and he turns to Estelle for confidence. Garcin begs Est
