ntacted the local law enforcement officer, George Wilcox, who examined the debris and contacted Intelligence Officer Major Jesse Marcel of the 509 Bomb Squad at Nellis Air Force Range (Area S4). Once Major Marcel was convinced of what the wreckage was, he ordered a military block off of the entire area while the debris was cleared and classified. Finally, once all of the debris had been located, it was taken to Area 51 for further classification. From there it was flown to Fort Worth, Texas and then later flown directly to Washington, DC where it mysteriously "disappeared" (Roswell 1).
