Reflective Observation I became very resentful toward the Catholic religion regarding the statement about my Christianity. I grew up despising having to attend their church. I refused to participate during the services. I would not sing, read out loud, or stand and kneel when instructed to. I was verbal in my feelings that prayers to the Virgin Mary were wrong, because she was the Mother of Jesus sent by God, not the mother of God as adorned by the Roman Catholic Church.
