The morning sun blinded my eyes as it crept though the blinds. That morning seemed a little odd, but disregarding it I turned the television on and watched dreadfully as terror had entered our nation.
             That morning as my family was gathered around the television in complete shock, I could remember thinking, maybe it's just a dream. But as time past and more lives were taken the fear of the tragic incident was turning into a reality.
             I was hesitant to leave the house that day, watching the planes crash one after another over and over again. Who would do such a thing? I kept saying in my mind. I could feel the fear that had struck our once peaceful country.
             After I had fully awakened, I stayed glued to the set watching in horror, getting up only to get that second cup of coffee. I flipped from channel to channel gathering more and more information about the attack. Receiving calls every half an hour from my mother who had been called in to work asking me if anything else had come up. I could remember my visit to the once majestic trade center years ago as I was watching it in flames on my television. And just as I didn't think things could possibly get worse I watched the first tower collapse on millions of people along with the rest country.
             Panic had taken over as the towers were collapsing and the pentagon had been attacked. Terrorism was all around us! What could we do? Every hour was leading to another sign of terrorism. Where would they strike next?
             Pretty soon home seemed like the only safe place as I got into my car a little past noon heading out for a quick bite to eat. Driving in the empty streets I already knew where the rest of the country was, in there houses glued to the set.
             That night was a night that would go down in history as not only the day America was attacked, but as the day when America would unite.
