Class Nomination Speech

Fellow members of the graduating class of 2002, the time has come for us to search through our ranks for the one person we deem fit to call leader. We must examine each candidate and decide whether or not they hold the qualities we are looking for in a class president. We need someone who will show a sense of good character and responsibility. The representative of our class should be someone not only well liked, but also widely trusted. They should be someone we can easily place our faith as a class in to get the job done.
The only person who can truly be regarded as fit for the prestigious role is our long time friend and confidante, Matthew Bradley. He is a friend in times of trouble, there when he is needed most. He has been at our esteemed school from the time he was an infant and matured with many of us by his side. His steadfast spirit has been the rock many have found to lean on when they felt that times were rough. He has always been and always will be, the true definition of a friend.
Comrades and companions I plead with you today to set this wonderful example of leadership in a position where he can make a difference. Give him the chance to prove to this school, this city, this country even, that one small group of students can impact the lives of countless others. He will lead us on through this final year in high school into a whole new world. I assure you, if you vote for Matthew Bradley as your class president you will not be let down. He will lead us through this time with spirit and unquenchable ambition.
