Career Test

             The career test was an interesting and informative assignment to complete. The results
             from the career test gave many suggestions on the different types of occupations that I should
             My highest score started with the code C, which is for conventional occupations which include office and clerical. Since my chosen major presently in university is business administration, that part did not surprise me at all. The following highest scores were for investigative and enterprising occupations. The combination of having high conventional, investigative and enterprising occupations led to jobs such as an investment analyst, building inspector, pollution control engineer, electric power plant manager, financial institutions examiner, etc. These results were surprising, due to the fact that I could never see myself working in any of those positions. However, the next set of results that resembled my first code were more the types of jobs that I would be able to see myself doing in the future. Some of the results were similar to the occupations I put down in the occupational daydreams list such as a computer programmer, radiologist, architect and interior designer.
             On the internet, I performed a small search on one of the occupations suggested for me. I chose to look up an investment analyst because I was unsure of the tasks performed. To find information on an investment analyst I performed a search on www.monster.ca and looked up actual job ads. The responsibilities I found included, analyze potential projects with other companies, perform financial calculations, work with developers in business deals, assist in creating for presentations, determine alternatives in investments with other organizations and make cost efficient suggestions relating to potential projects with other companies.
