Narrative Infancy

There are many stories in the Bible that we can relate to, the one I chose was the birth of Jesus. When Joseph discovered that Mary was pregnant he was shocked because he assumed that Mary had cheated on him. The only way Mary could have become pregnant was if she slept with another man, so Joseph assumed that Mary deceived him.
Joseph, like any other human being felt many dark emotions such as: anger, curiosity, and so many more that cant be described in words. Joseph felt hurt and felt that a divorce would be in order. He kept it quite knowing that if anyone found out that Mary had cheated on Joseph she would be charged for adultery and the punishment would be severe maybe even death by stone.
However, one night Joseph had a dream and an angel appeared in it. The angel told him that Mary did not cheat on him and that she was blessed with the Lord's child. Joseph felt relieved and never doubted Mary again.
I feel that I could relate to Joseph in this particular story because the emotions he was feeling were similar to the ones I felt a while back.
I was dating this girl and everything was going great. I soon found out she liked two other guys! I thought to myself, "Why would should be dating me if she liked someone else?" I assumed it was because she was new at school and wanted to be noticed. As soon as the opportunity presented itself I dumped her, the emotions I were feeling were very brutal and that girl hurt me very much so. After I dumped her I felt very happy because I hope she learned a very valuable lesson which was, don't mess with me.
So now as you read my story you will discover what similarities it holds opposed to Joseph's. Excluding the parts where an angel appears in a dream and where Mary did not actually cheat on Joseph.
