Friends

             "Lexi honey, we have some good but bad news for you," said Maryanne Dion, Alexis's mother as she walked through the door after soccer practice.
             Alexis set down her green sports bag with the wolf design on the sides and sat down to listen to her mother.
             "What is it mom?" asked Alexis curiously.
             "Well," she started, "Your father was just offered a job at Middlebury College in Vermont... We are thinking of moving in Mid-October to a house in Bristol, a small town near by."
             Alexis's mind started to race before she could say a word. Leaving the sunny place of Santa Cruz, California, where she can go to the beach when ever she wants, and hang with her friends that she has known practically all her life. That would be just hell! The only thing that she knew about Vermont was that it was all the way on the other side of the country, cold, and there were a bunch of red-necks there. She had to find some way to make her parents change their minds.
             "You are kidding aren't you? This is my senior year of high school!!! I would be leaving so much! Come on mom! Think! I would be leaving seventeen years of friends, my spot as captain of the soccer team!" Alexis argued her head racing.
             "Well, this job is paying a lot better than your father's current job, so it would be the best for our family. I know that you would be missing a lot, but I am sure that you could make the team in Bristol. I think the school may be called Mt.Abe..." Her mom explained.
             "That's not the point mom! I just don't know how I will be able to leave all my friends here, and my life. I mean, I guess it could be good, because we would get more money, but... I don't know what to think now..." Alexis explained before she went up to her room.
             She walked up the stairs thinking of how she will have to leave this house that she had lived in for almo...
