t a nice big blemish on your transcript c) you will probably not go to the college you want d) and it could possibly mess up your life if you do poorly in school in your sophomore and junior years. If you have been waiting to ask that girl out and you finally do, that is a big risk to me, because what if they say no, then you feel like an idiot and you wish you could take it back, but if they say yes then you feel like a million bucks and that nothing can bring you down.
             This brings me to my personal definition of risk. Risk to me is putting yourself on the line, mind and body, and attempt something [or don't attempt something] with the possibility of a very beneficial outcome, or a very unbeneficial outcome. Most of the time I have felt I have risked myself is for a cause or for someone who I love or believe in like a family member in need.
