Macbeth

             Is evil really responsible or is the person? If a brave person overcomes fear and a
             coward gives in to it, what is Macbeth, who fears nothing but fear itself? Evil and power made
             Macbeth kill to improve his standing in life. When you look at evil and fear in this play
             you have to account darkness, how the whole play is based in the dark the witches, and
             Macbeth are described as dark and shrouded this sets them as evil characters in the play
             throughout. Images like dark caves make people think evil. Evil morally bad or wrong;
             anything that causes harm. The thirst for power and greed caused Macbeth's downfall.
             Fear is also a big motif in this play. Maybe Macbeth killed out of fear, fear that he would
             disappoint his wife. An examination of evil in the play will clearly show that evil and fear
             caused Duncan and Banquo's deaths, Lady Macbeth's suicide and eventually Macbeth's
             Evil caused Macbeth to kill Duncan and Banquo. I ii 33 (we shall proceed no
             further in this business), Macbeth had second thoughts about killing Duncan, and by the
             time he kill Banquo evil had totally consumed him. After Macbeth kills Duncan and tells
             Lady Macbeth that he has done it she says he has to go put the daggers back but Macbeth
             is so paralyzed with fear and the realization of what he has done he cant go back,
             showing that evil consumed him when he committed the act and left after. This shows
             that Macbeth did not want to kill anybody that he did not have to. Macbeth killed Duncan
             and Banquo to protect himself and further his standing. Killing occurred a lot in this play
             evil was at the base of every murder or suicide as I will show in my next statement when
             I talk about Lady Macbeth's suicide.
             Evil caused Lady Macbeth's suicide. Act 2 ii 85 ( A little water cleans us of this
