The main reason why I do not believe that free will exists is that all of our decisions and actions are cavalierly determined. This belief is not just one of my own, it has been discussed and argued by erudite scholars worldwide. Believing that all of our actions are casually determined is the primary idea behind determinism, which is a vague definition, therefore we must be more specific. Determinism can be defined by two sentences: "All events have a cause, and similar cause, result a similar effect." To be clearer, please understand that nothing is uncaused, we may not know the cause, but there is always a cause. Additionally, determinism, the theoretical principle in opposition to free will, (freedom), is the theory that argues in defense to prove, physical, mental, and moral choices are completely determined by previously existing causes that rule out free will. This theory denies the aspect of chance or contingency, as well as the reality of human freedom, holding that the "will" is not free but is determined by biological, environmental, social, or mystic forces. Freedom, the opposition to determinism, is fixed behind the design that we do have power over the choices we create, thus having free will, a prerequisite for being morally responsible for a decision. Now that determinism is true, and we have no power over the choices we think we have the given power to make. Then I am correct an we do not have free-will; therefore, nobody legitimately can be held morally responsible for their actions. Our common practice of thinking of others and ourselves as accountable is simply not justified! But, that's our side of the debte.
