"You can always kill the dreamer but you can never kill the dream" was once said and to have a dream is a million dollar idea because it gives us the ability to have hope. Hope to become rich and famous from all of our hard work and from the promise of the American Dream. Some don't have to work hard, they're just lucky by winning the lottery or getting an acting/record deal at age six, or just by knowing the right people. In the play, "Death of a Salesman" by Arthur Miller, was considered a tragedy because of the corrupted American Dream which was to bring forth pleasures and hopes in life.
             Willy Loman tries to get his dream because he knows everyone, his father, his brother, Howard Wagner, can do it so can he. In Willy Loman's case, he always had to go down to Boston to represent Wagner's company for about 34 years. He never really complain about the job just tries to smash the car once in a while when he is driving back home. He does that because he knows he can't live up with the dream and he shouldn't go back if he can't support his family. In addition, Willy Loman was determined to keep his dream alive. He always had talks with his brother, Ben, about how everything is going wrong or right. Furthermore by having the right personality it can always lead Loman to the top. But Loman was very talkative and always tries to pursue his buyers to buy and it got stuck in the same job. On the other hand, Howard Wagner got to become manager of the company because it was his fathers. Because of having such high hopes he fails to prove he can get it.
             Being a father is hard role in the American Dream because part of having the perfect American family. For example, as a father, he should guide his children, support them, teach them and mostly love them. Not only he does it but he doesn't see what his sons for whom they really are.
