Frankenstein

             In Frankenstein by Mary Shelly both Victor and his creation fall from grace by knowledge. They also fall from grace partly because the encouragement of or influence of other people. Victor's fall from grace can be explained in 3 main paragraphs: The condition of Victor before his fall, the reasons why he falls, the state of Victor after his fall and the results of the fall. These three points together pretty much create the story and plot. Therefore the remainder of the essay will explain these three important crucial points in this story by Mary Shelly.
             To fully understand victor's fall we must first understand his conditions before and after his fall. Before Victor's fall Victor travels with his parents and later with his adopted sister Elizabeth. He is loved by his parents and sister very much and enjoys a wonderful life until the age of 17 in the great town of Geneva, Switzerland. At 17 Victor goes to study at the university of Ingolstadt much to the admiration and approval of his family. This is how Victor is before his fall: happy, content, and joyful.
             Victor's fall takes place because of the knowledge he acquires. Those old wise people are right; Knowledge can be very dangerous and even deadly in this case. Victor's fall happens because of the following events. Upon arriving at the university Victor meets a professor who is involved in the area of study of victor and recommends some books to Victor. Victor then reads these books and it furthers his admiration, curiosity, and study in the field of Chemistry and learning the human body. He then uses this knowledge of Chemistry to literally destroy the life of himself, that of his family and possibly others. He creates the worst menace barely imaginable by man. The creature he creates will ruin his life and many others to come. This creature that was born goes out of his laboratory and goes into a new world that he has never experienced...
