Societies differ in the realms of how a family is to function. In our society a family is usually joined by a man and woman, with or without kids they face dilemmas such as their relationship, financial dependencies, and struggles of making decisions that a family must make in order to survive. Families across the nation, many of which are vastly different, all face many of the same problems.
             I believe that in the beginning of time God made Adam. From Adam, God then made Eve to be his companion in order that he may survive and to be happy (Gen. 2:18). In my opinion, without women on the face of the earth, life would not have any meaning. If one puts any thought into it, how would we reproduce and be fruitful as was Gods intentions for us. " By interpreting Eve tempting Adam to eat from the tree of knowledge as a sexual temptation, women appears as the sexual temptress, who plunges man into misery" (Horney 364). This puts a lot of pressure on each adult to be faithful and honest with each other. Since both man and woman are capable of adultery, I think that men cheat on their wives more than the wives cheating on their husbands. Horney states that "women are sexual temptresses that men see as an objective they would like to conquer" (Horney 364). If the woman is not satisfying her man sexually he may look to outside resources to pacify his sexual urges. Thus increasing the chances of a broken marriage. In most cases of divorce, the children are usually the victims. At a young age, the child has no comprehension of adultery and the affects that it has on a family. Only until the
             children mature will they understand the affects. This could have a profound affect on the view that the child has on family values later in life.
