Throughout my life I have been blessed with the opportunity to experience many things. I have been blessed with the opportunity to meet many unique and loving people who have influenced me to become a better Christian. As a young child Church and the gospel of the Lord was not a big part of my life. I have always believed in God and spoke to him through prayer from time to time. It was not a regular thing for my family and I to attend Church. My parents felt that when we got older we could make the decision on our own of whether or not we wanted to make the Lord a part of our lives. I do not look down on my parents for this, but I do wish that they would have introduced us to the Church and influenced us to make the Lord a part of our lives. From time to time I attended Church services with my friends, but I never felt that I was really absorbing much of the material because I kind of felt like an outsider. Many of my friends had so much more knowledge than I did about the Lord, and because of this I kind of felt like I did not "fit in" with them. I was blind to the fact that they were inviting me to worship the Lord with them. As I got older and attended Church services with my friends I began to understand the gospel of the Lord and I started to feel like a more complete Christian. This is my fifth semester at Texas Lutheran University and I have really gotten the chance to meet some very interesting and amazing people. A lot of the people here have shone me the light and really motivated me to become a good Christian. The people of this community have opened me up to more discussion about the Lord and influenced me to share with them my beliefs. I am excited to be able to describe the various expressions of religion, specifically in Christianity, since Christianity is my religion.
