The Alienation of Romeo and Juliet

             The factors that contribute to the alienation of Romeo and Juliet are Feud, Family, Fate, and Romantic love. My view on these issues is that these factors contribute to the alienation of the youth today and contributed to the alienation of youth years ago. These factors are all important to the youth today, but some are more important than others. These factors are apart of everyday life for the youth today, With family and romantic love always on youth. In the play Romeo and Juliet, They are both alienated by friends and family. This destroys their confidence in talking to their families and friends and alienates them even further.
             In the play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, the feud is involved in many of the scenes. It involves many people, including Romeo and Juliet. They are married in secret because they don't want their families to know, or they will get in their way and ruin it. If their families found out, they will stop the marriage and make Juliet marry Paris, so Romeo and Juliet are forced not to see each other. It would also make the feud worse and may result in someone dying. If this were to happen, Romeo's life would reflect the theme of alienation in the play.
             This alienates Romeo and Juliet from their families and is likely to split them apart even further. Juliet's parents are already angry enough with her refusing to marry Paris. This makes the lovers' vulnerable because the only people they can turn to is each other. Friar says, "These violent delights have violent ends." {II.6.9} This shows his point of view on the matter. He is foreshadowing that an overdose of love can lead to our deaths. As with feud, the family is also one of the contributing factors that lead to alienation. These two factors go hand in hand. If you have a family, you will encounter a feud at some stage.
