Lord of the Flies

For every action there is a reason,a desire and an emotion. You don't always know what your reason is for doing things. Most humans are unaware of their desires and emotions. Things just happen. These things have an effect of children and adults, just like the kids in Lord of the Flies.
In the book Jack has a reason, a desire and an emotion which triggers his savage behavior. Jack starts off as a good guy who gets along with everyone. Eventually it turns into a battle of who's the strongest and who's the most manly. I feel it is because of Jack's new feelings.
In Lord of the Flies, Jack has the desire and the emotion to kill a pig. Jack has this desire and emotion to kill the pig because it is apart of his manhood. This could be because Jack is starting to get older and mature. Having Jack as a leader it forces him to grow up more quick and take on more responsibility. I feel that Jack has the emotion to kill the pig because of his new feelings. When boys mature they gain a lot of weird emotions, such as violence. Violence is the reason why Jack wants to kill a pig, not for necessity. In conclusion, I feel that Jack definitely has the desire and emotion to kill a pig.
Jack has a reason for his actions in Lord of the Flies. Instead of thinking of his desires, Jack finally decides to kill a pig for the reason of having meat instead of selfish pleasure. I think after everyone complained about food and not having any meat, Jack decided to kill a pig for the right reason. I think that he also wanted meat for himself.
