Attitude

             As I stared out of my father's van, I knew it would be the last time that I would see my house ever again. The bright summer sun was setting quickly now and the leaves were falling. My family and I were moving to the other side of town. Starting all over again would be hard. There would be many things I would have to do again: moving into a new house, making new friends, and going to a new school. The first day of 2nd grade came, and I walked into the classroom assuming that I wouldn't fit in. School didn't really seem to matter that much to me, so I kept quiet. I sat with a frown on my face for a long 6 hours. I still hadn't said a word to anyone. Finally, the last bell rung.
             Months past as the hours at school seemed to stretch. As time went by, school seem to never end and it seem to be harder by the day. At school I felt like an outcast, someone that was just getting in the way. My classmates seemed to enjoy the class so much. One day, I finally realized that it was all because of my attitude. I didn't think about the better things that my new school could offer, only the negative things to it. That was when I decided to change my attitude about school. The following week, I came to class with a smile. Finally, my classmates started to talk to me. I made friends and got better grades. After that, time went by so fast. Already, I was about to graduate from middle school and was about to go to high school, but this time, I'll go to school with a good attitude.
