This essay referred to time from 1920s to 1940, which talks about how advertisement evolved to democracy and changed living styles. First of all, ¡°What is the meaning of the Democracy of Goods?¡± In this essay, overall it is the product that stands equality, which means everyone can enjoy the product that is affordable and at the same time obtaining satisfaction. Only the rich people can enjoy luxuries and not for low classes. Wrong, according to information, advertisements focused on all class levels which to show equality, spread out, and expand consumers. For example, they used Biddle¡¯s family imagining how you want to become like Biddle¡¯s family, soup that can afford, and any items that can make you healthy, nice, and richer. Overall the advertisement was trying to tell us that the best things in life were already available to all at reasonable prices so start purchasing. The Advertisements suddenly changed to inform equality to America which brought greatest hit and affected American society. ¡°This process gained momentum in the 1920s; it gained maturity during the 1950s as a sense of class differences was nearly eclipsed by a fascination with the equalities suggested by shared consumption patterns and ¡°freely chosen¡± consumer ¡°lifestyles.¡±(p.136) This paragraph clearly showed great impact on American Society.
