Right now no matter what I do I get the same punishment. For example if im late getting home I will be grounded. If I get an F on a progress report I will be grounded but for a longer amount of time. I think there should be a list of things that parents should take away in order of how bad the crime is. Parents and kids should come up with a list of rewards and punishments in advance. The three reasons for this are as follows. One, being grounded for a relatively small crime is not fair. Second, I think if I'm going to get grounded for getting a C on a progress report the time I'm grounded should be shorter than if I get an F on a progress report. Last, I think getting In trouble in school and getting in trouble outside of school are two different things and should have two different types of punishments.
             I think that being grounded for a relatively small crime is not fair. I think that the punishment should fit the crime instead of a large punishment for a small crime. You would probably say a crime is a crime and all crimes should get a punishment. I think there should be a list of items that can be taken away in order of there importance. You would say that I would be able to live without TV or without my music but it would be a lot harder than you think.
             I also think that if I get a C I should be grounded a less amount of time than if I was to get a F. I think there should be a list of all the grades below a B- and next to the grade the amount of time I would be grounded for that specific grade. You would probably say that the system we have right now is fine and we should stick to it. But right now we have a system where if I get a bad grade I'm grounded until I make it up.
