Dogs have been around for millions of years. The have evolved from the dinosaur age. They were tamed by man for hunting purposes and as pets. They were even hunted themselve, and used for meat, clothing, milk, and other means. Over the years, man has found other uses for dogs. Today they are used for showing, rescue, companionship, herding, and helping the handicapped. In some countries they are still considered a delicousy. But they will always have a place in our hearts as "mans best friend".
