"The Last of the Mohicans"

It is a summer of 1750 and there is still the French and Indian War. Three

surviving members of the Mohicans, Chingachgook and his two sons, Uncus (his

blood son) and Hawkeye, his adopted son, continue to live the traditional Mohican

Life of hunting and trapping through the wilderness. Seeing the fights between the

European Powers, the Mohicans refuse to join the fighting. Meanwhile a young

British Major has arrived to meet with Cora Munro and her little sister. To the

oldest sister he has made a marriage proposal a time ago. His job is to accompany

the sisters to a place where they have a meeting with their father, the commander

Munro. On the way to the fort, the Major and the sisters were betrayed by Magua,

who was at first consideres as a British, but instead he was a French. Just as he

could have the revenge and wanted to kill the Munro's children, the Mohicans

gave up their neutrality and came to the aid of the women. So they continue their

way under the protection of the three men. The rest of the movie is full of fights,

adventures and suspense. Of course you mustn't forget the romantic side of this

movie, when Cora and Hawkeye fell in love. Unfortunately there isn't a happy-end

at the end of the movie. But watch it yourself!

In my opinion the movie is really good, but there are also some things which I

don't like much. Take a look at the outfit of the main actors. The men always

remained clean shaven, their long hair was washed and combed, no grease, no

dirty clothes and in each situation everyone was good looking! To my mind "The

Last of the Mohicans" is quite a simply picture of a world that has never existed.

But it's a picture we wished to have and so it's one of the reasons the movie was

such a great success. Besides I think the movie has a little s
